Click here for more info on how you and your family can help make Beaubien’s new anti-bullying program a successful one! The program rolls out on Monday, Sept. 14th!

Dear Beaubien Family,

We are proud to announce the launch of the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program. We are launching the Olweus Program because we are committed to maintaining a safe school environment and always seeking to improve the culture and climate for our students. On September 14th all students will attend an official launch assembly that will introduce the Olweus program. The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program is a researched based data driven Bullying Prevention Program created by Dr. Dan Olweus.

Beaubien has established an Olweus Bullying Prevention Coordinating Committee, which has spent the last school year preparing for the launch of the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program. Starting September 14th your child will take part in weekly classroom conversations about bullying with the goal of continuing a positive school culture and climate. Soon to be posted throughout the school is our Slogan “Beaubien Bulldogs take a Bite out of Bullying”. In addition, our 4 anti-bullying school rules will be posted in every classroom:

1) We will not bully others.

2) We will help students who are bullied.

3) We will include students who are left out.

4) If we know that somebody is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school and an adult at home.

Please take the time to go over these rules with your child at home, together we can make a difference!
