Dear Beaubien Families,

Our annual Spring Fling and Silent Auction fundraiser will soon be here, and we need your support! The Beaubien PTO is hosting this event on April 28th at Biagio’s on Central Avenue. If you are able to help collect donations, we’ll take them. If you are able to volunteer your time, we’d love the help! However, what we really need is YOU to come and have some fun!! Please come join us to celebrate our students and raise money for our school. Friends and family are also welcome!! Tickets are available for purchase online via beaubienspringfling.eventbrite.com or by returning the ticket flyer sent home with students with cash or check made payable to Beaubien PTO. All donations go directly back to the school!!

Report Card Pick Up
The end of 3rd quarter is Thursday, April 12th and Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, April 18th from 11:30 am – 6:30 pm (with a break from 3:00-3:45 pm). We would like to achieve 100% family participation. Plan to take the time to visit with your child’s teacher(s) and to gather all of the information you need about your child’s education.

My Voice, My School
Students in 4th – 8th grade have recently participated in a survey called My Voice, My School which is conducted by CPS and the University of Chicago Consortium. As a parent of our school, it is now your turn to share your views in a parent version that can either be completed online at home or in one of our computer labs on Report Card Pick-Up Day. This information is part of the 5 Essentials Survey that is reported on all CPS School Report Cards.

Spring Assessments
PARCC testing will be given to students in 3rd-8th grade starting on April 3rd. 3rd – 4th grade students will be taking a paper pencil version while 5th-8th grade will be taking the assessment online. Please check with your child’s teacher to find out the exact time they will be testing. For more information please visit: www.parcconline.org.

I hope everyone had a fantastic Spring Break and has come back rejuvenated and ready to finish off the school year strong!

Warm regards,

Michelle H. Ludford
