Dear Beaubien Families and Friends,

You should have received an email and robocall from Chicago Public Schools indicating that there will be no classes tomorrow, Wednesday, January 5th due to the vote this evening by the Chicago Teachers Union. We understand that this may present a challenge for families and that there are many uncertainties ahead. Please know that our school priorities will always be with the well being of our students emotionally and academically.

We will continue to stay as transparent, upfront and informative as possible throughout the upcoming days. We will continue to stay focused on what is best for our children and make decisions as best as possible with the information we have been presented.  Our goal is to ensure that no matter what occurs moving forward, we are prepared to smoothly transition as a school community. These plans will be shared and will roll out as we learn more from the district. We have been through quite a bit of ups and downs and know that together, we will continue to be #Beaubien Bulldogs and #oneschoolonefamily.

Please continue watching the news, checking emails and follow Chicago Public Schools,  @JBBelementary on twitter and our PTO Facebook page. Please also check our school website regularly at www.beaubienelementary.edu. As always, you can reach out to me at mhludford@cps.edu.

Best regards,

Michelle H. Ludford, Principal
