CPD Community Alert – Residential Burglaries in the 16th District

Wanted for Residential Burglaries – 016th District (Jefferson Park)
About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of several residential burglaries that have occurred in the month of November. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) have entered apartments and residences, through windows or doors, and have taken electronics, jewelry, cash, and other miscellaneous items.
Incident times and locations:
There have been five incidents that have occurred since November 12, 2014. These incidents have taken place on Beat 1633, within the boundaries of Long to Narragansett and Belmont to Irving Park Road, mostly during the day and early evening hours.
5600 block of W. Eddy on November 12, 2014, at 8:00 AM
3400 block of N. Long, between November 15-17, 2014, between 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM
6100 block of W. Addison on November 19, 2014 at 6:05 PM
5700 block of W. Addison on November 24, 2014 between 6:45 AM – 4:00 PM
6000 block of W. Melrose on November 28, 2014 between 10:00 AM – 5:10 PM
What you can do:
Be aware of this pattern crime and alert your friends and family about these crimes.
Make sure all doors and windows are locked.
Pay special attention to any suspicious subjects loitering in the area.
Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of the offender(s), including any vehicle description and license plate information, as well as direction of flight, if known.
