Dear Beaubien Community,
As the district continues its COVID-19 testing efforts, we would like to thank you for your support and flexibility throughout the process. A key part of these efforts has been using your feedback to improve our student consent process. I wanted to reach out to you today to inform you of the upcoming changes that will make the student consent process easier for everyone.
Primary guardians are now able to consent electronically for their child to receive COVID-19 testing. If your child is eligible, you will receive an email from CPS with more details about this process and a link to the electronic consent form by the end of the week.
All students aged 10 and older are eligible for COVID-19 testing, provided they attend a school within the top ten zip codes with the highest number of daily average COVID-19 cases in Chicago as identified by the Chicago Department of Health (CDPH), or they attend a CPS high school cluster program. If your child qualifies you will receive an invitation to the testing program. Students who opt in to COVID-19 testing can expect to be tested approximately once a month. Once tested, you will receive your child’s results in a secure email within 48-72 hours.
If you would like your child to participate in testing, please be sure to complete the consent form once you receive it. Please note that only the primary guardian listed on file is eligible to give consent. Below is some additional resources about this testing program

If you have any additional questions, please email the COVID Testing Team at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your continued support.
